Kumari Mrinalini Sivakumar was drawn into this divine art at the tender age of ten months and has been undergoing training under guidance of Guru Dr Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan of “Sridevi Nrithyalaya” for the past eighteen years. Mrinalini Sivakumar is a passionate and eager learner who takes great interest in Bharatanatyam and Vocal Music. Her deep-rooted passion for classical art forms is reflected in her sincere dedication and keen desire to learn.

 

With good potential as a Bharatanatyam dancer, Mrinalini has done solo’s and has been a part of Sridevi Nrithyalaya’s major group presentations and has travelled

extensively with her Guru.

 

With ample guidance from her Teachers Dr. Sheela Unnikrishnan and Sri Guru Bharadwaaj, she has also performed ‘Nattuvangam’ for solo performances of

other artistes from Sridevi Nrithyalaya.

 

Mrinalini is a certified B GRADE from the DOORDARSHAN KENDRA ,Chennai. She has also been awarded the title NADA PALLAVA ( Endowment instituted by Smt. Gayathri Venkataraghavan ) by NADA SUDHA, Velachery , 2024.

 

She is currently pursuing her Masters in Bharathanatyam at Tamilnadu Dr. J Jayalalitha University, Chennai.
