Madhura Margam

SDN’s MADHURA MARGAM is a repertoire based on compositions of Madurai Sri N. Krishnan. Commencing with a Kauthvam on Mahadeva in Ragam Mohanam and Rupaka Talam, the Margam moves on to Devi Shabdam surrendering to the universal mother. Following the Shabdam in Ragamalika and Misrachaapu Talam, the Varnam of Madhura Margam is set in praise of Lord Maha Vishnu who dwells in the form of Venkateswara in Tirumala. He is the omnipresent Lord who manifested in His ten incarnations. This Varnam has been set in Panthuvarali Ragam and Adi Talam. Following the Varnam is Mahadeva Keerthanam in Ragamalika and Adi Talam. Madhura Margam concludes with a vibrant Thillana in Brindavani Ragam and Adi Talam.
